Brigu is the mystical astrologer who makes predictions on the basis of ancient palm leaves. Those palm leaves were written in Sanskrit by Brigu muni. Brigu muni made all the horoscopes for the people of the Earth, even for those who were not yet born.
The reason for doing that was that he looked into the future by the help of his mystic power and saw that in Kali yuga all the astrologers would be corrupted and won’t be able to read the lines on the hands or astrological maps.
After that he recorded all the astrological information on the palm leaves and appointed guardians. Later the ancestors of Brigu muni rewrote all the horoscopes on the paper and in this way we can see them now. Usually they are hidden in the very distant places of India. The Brigu science consists of finding the right horoscope according to the hand or even feet lines of the individual.
Vedic astrology (jyotish) is the only ancient science of astrology written in Sanskrit which came to us without any distortion as a complete unit.
